Prepare Ye, Prepare Ye! Prepare for the onslaught. It matters not whether Romney wins or loses in Michigan; the onslaught begins tonight on cue from the left leaning blogosphere, punditry and the MSM.
If we have a win, here will be the outcry, “Romney should have won by a greater margin in his “home” state. The margin of the win proves he can’t win in the general, just look at the national polls. He is toast. He is plastic. He is too rich. He has a sneaky smile. His father is the only reason he won, he couldn’t have done it on his own. His hair is too slick. He spent too much money. He lies. He is too liberal. He is too conservative.”
If Mitt loses, the outcry will be thus, “Romney couldn’t even win in his home state (even though he hasn’t lived there since he was a child). He is toast. He HAS to drop out now, for the good of the party. He spent too much money. He spent too little money. He bought his votes. He lies. He’s too slick. He’s too PERFECT. He taxed SUV’s in Ma. He likes homosexuals. He likes to kill babies. He hates gun owners, and on and on and on and on!”
You get the picture! Hugh Hewitt catches a lot of flack about his support for Mitt. Since when is it a sin to feel passionately about a candidate or a cause, obsession runs rampant all around us from liberal fascism to Ron Paul mania. Some like Hugh and many others are convinced that this nation is in deep trouble and it is going to take a powerful leader to protect the constitution, hold on to conservative principles and jerk us back from the jaws of progressive fascism.
We need judges who will support the constitution, protect the unborn and refrain from legislating from the bench. We need strong borders, but just as important, we need a national policy that will discourage illegal breach of our borders. We need laws and policies that will DETER not encourage illegal border intrusion, even if it results in a little discomfort for the law breaker. We need fiscal restraint, budget cuts, an end to pork barrel spending (line item veto) and a shrinking of government. We need to continue with Bush’s “kick butt” terrorist policies no matter how much the liberals whine. There are many more “We Needs” and I believe Mitt Romney is our best hope for filling these needs.
Mitt Romney has successfully overcome many seemingly impossible tasks in his life. We can start with his remarkable turn around of the bankrupt and scandal ridden Olympics, saving the United States from International shame and embarrassment. He had astonishing success as a conservative Governor in a liberal state, Massachusetts. He had extraordinary success working with a hostile, liberal leaning Democrat legislature and constituency. He has been instrumental in turning around many fiscally insolvent businesses and has guided them back to profitability, not only increasing his own wealth but increasing the wealth of investors and business owners. There is not another candidate in this race that has the proven track record of Mitt Romney as an executive, problem solver and manager. He is not perfect and doesn’t claim to be, however there is none other that is better suited to guide the United States of America through the coming “Perfect Storm” of terror, recession fears, immigration woes, legislation from the judicial bench and the steady deterioration of the constitution in a “politically correct” society.
Hear ye, hear ye the time is come for the attack on Mitt. Carry on; carry on in the cause of liberty and justice. One vote at a time, one state at a time like the tortoise we march on to victory.
